This Mission Became Personal
I'm Christina Chavis — an ISC2-certified cybersecurity professional with over 35 years in technology. I have always had a passion for protecting vulnerable populations, but this mission became deeply personal after my own mother was targeted by a sophisticated scam and lost over $65,000.
What happened to her closely resembled the organized scam operations you may have seen portrayed in films like The Beekeeper — professional criminals using fear, urgency, and impersonation to prey on seniors. Unfortunately, these threats are not fictional.
Golden Shield was created so that no other family has to go through what mine did. Every workshop, every coaching session — it all honors my mother's experience and turns pain into purpose.
